Dear all,

Together with Anastasia Bizyaeva, Cornell U., we would like to invite you
and the members of your research groups to join us in our full-day pre-CDC
conference workshop titled *Leveraging bifurcations for control of
intelligent and collective behaviors
<https://sites.google.com/view/cdc2024-bifurcations-workshop> *(Workshop 6
on the conference webpage
<https://cdc2024.ieeecss.org/program/workshops-live#session-2-14>).

The aim of this workshop is to lay out the theoretical foundations of
bifurcation theory for control as well as to present a variety of
applications of these ideas across domains. In particular, we will
highlight the role of bifurcations in nonlinear dynamics that can be used
for modeling, design, and control of collective and intelligent behaviors,
in natural, societal, and in artificial systems.

The workshop will consist of two complementary sessions. The morning
session will present the fundamentals of bifurcation theory for control in
the context of smooth dynamical systems, non-smooth systems, and
input-output systems, with a particular accent on open questions and
problems. After lunch, the afternoon session will span a wide range of
applications of bifurcations in control, from robotics and machine
learning, to game theory, epidemics, neuroscience and neuromorphic
engineering.

Please feel free to share this invitation with whomever you feel
appropriate.

Best wishes and hopefully see you soon,

Alessio and Anastasia
