Dear All,

The AICAS 2021 Organizing Committee invites proposals for Special Sessions to be held during the 2021 IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems virtually from May 3 until May 7, 2021.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly being adopted to solve many computing problems in many applications, the computing and power requirements of AI computing platforms are becoming more demanding. A growing challenge of improving the efficiency of state-of-the-art AI hardware and developing dedicated optimization for specific AI problems is emerging.

The IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (AICAS) is established to become an international forum to discuss research and innovation in circuits and systems theoretical, practical, and technological developments enabling state-of-the-art artificial intelligence computing systems.

The Special Sessions objective is to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest at specific or cross-level-of-abstraction, including algorithms, system architectures, microarchitectures, technologies, and circuits, particularly promising in solving the current challenges of artificial intelligence in circuits and systems.

Special Session Proposals
Each session is expected to have four (or five) speakers, including the organizer who provides an overview of the topic area. Prospective organizers of special sessions should submit proposals indicating:
• Title of the session
• Short biography of the organizers
• Proposed topics and speakers: Please provide a list of all topics, speakers and co-authors, the contact information of the corresponding author, and an abstract of each contribution.

Proposals should be submitted due on or before January 11, 2021, and sent via email (in pdf) to the special sessions Co-Chair Emre Neftci <eneftci at uci.edu> and with a copy to aicas2021gc at gmail.com

Paper Submission Instructions

After receiving proposal acceptance notification, authors of invited papers are asked to submit their manuscripts and follow the regular conference paper submission and review procedure.
